Apostle Maurice A. Simmons

A man after God’s own heart, who loves God, loves God’s people, loves his family, and is true to God’s word.

Apostle Simmons is a native of Eastern North Carolina.  He was called to salvation in 1998 where his relationship with the Lord began and had a heart to see souls saved.  His desire in God has caused him to move from being just saved in ministry into sharing the gospel of the good news of Jesus Christ during the year of 2000 while under the leadership of Dr. Douglas E. Cogdell, Pastor of White Plains Church Ministries, Belhaven, NC.

Apostle Simmons has served faithfully in several capacities in ministry: deacon, trustee, president of the men fellowship, youth bible study teacher, associate minister, and armor bearer to the pastor.  He was ordained in 2003 as Elder under the Northeast Original Freewill Baptist Church Conference, Greenville, NC.

Apostle Simmons has received several certificates in theology and Christian Education while attending Greenville Christian College, Greenville, NC as well as the School of Apostolic Leadership Training Academy (S.A.L.T. Academy) under the tutor ledge of Apostle Timothy Harrell, Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA.  In 2005, Elder Maurice heard the voice of the Lord and he and his family stepped out on faith and relocated to Hampton, VA.  After transitioning to VA, he was ordained as pastor in the Church of God in Christ for two years until the Lord spoke and was released.

Apostle Simmons is a devoted husband of 26 years to Eugenie Simmons, father of three: Markel, Shatira, and Hi’Shakim, and a grandfather of six: Julian, Za’Kari, Anela, Ah’Mia, Major, and Musiq.  He is a spiritual mentor to many and has led many souls to Christ.

In 2011 Restoration and Truth Ministries (RTM), Hampton, VA was birthed and Apostle Simmons along with his wife, Eugenie were released by the leading of the Holy Spirit and their spiritual parents, Dr. Douglas and Debra  Cogdell to go forth in ministry.  RTM is a ministry without walls created to bring restoration and reconciliation through the word of God to the lost, hurting, and to teach truth to the body of Christ for edification.  Ministry and prayer were birthed out of their home and evangelized as the Lord sent him out.  During a five night revival in January 2016, Apostle Simmons was commissioned by God to launch the "church".  RTM launched the very first Sunday worship service August 7, 2016.

Apostle Simmons walks in the office of a prophet as well as many other gifts.  As a prophet, he walks in humility and doesn’t mind releasing what the Lord has charged him to say.  One of his favorite scriptures is, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.”  Revelation 2:7

Apostle Simmons firmly believes in the five-fold ministry gifts and in the power of prayer, interceding for many including the nations.  His desire is that all would walk upright and walk in the spirit of truth especially leaders.  August 2018 after struggling regarding the elevation to the Apostleship, Apostle Simmons answered and accepted the call to the office and was affirmed and consecrated.

If he would leave you with a thought to ponder it would be, “It’s not about religion, but it’s about a relationship.”  Where there is no Kingdom investment, there is no Kingdom withdrawal.  Where there are no Kingdom activities, there are no Kingdom results.  It’s a Kingdom agenda.”
